Meet Dr. Phillip Moorad – Expertise and Compassion

Dr. Phillip Moorad’s journey into dentistry was driven by his passion for improving people’s lives through oral health. He began his academic career by earning a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Oklahoma State University in 1992. His fascination with healthcare led him to pursue his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, graduating with honors from Oklahoma University College of Dentistry in 1996. His outstanding academic achievements and dedication to excellence in dentistry form the foundation of the patient-first approach that North Dental is known for.

Early in his career, Dr. Moorad moved to Arizona, where he practiced as an associate dentist and honed his skills in general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. His commitment to sustainable practices inspired him to establish Aesthetic Dental Health in Avondale, Arizona, in 2003. As one of the few eco-friendly dental practices in the U.S. at the time, Aesthetic Dental Health was awarded the Gold Certification from the Eco-Dentistry Association in 2011, setting Dr. Moorad apart as a pioneer in environmentally conscious dentistry.

Today, Dr. Moorad applies his extensive experience and knowledge to North Dental, where he offers a broad range of services, from Invisalign to advanced implant restorations. He has completed over 700 hours of continuing education, with specialized training in dental laser technology, cosmetic procedures, and restorative techniques. His postgraduate studies at the Kois Institute and the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Learning have helped him master the most modern, minimally invasive techniques in dentistry.

One of our dedicated team members is Sha’myah, a skilled dental assistant who joined North Dental in 2015. Inspired by her passion for helping people, Sha’myah pursued a career in dental assisting and enjoys building relationships with our patients. Her goal is to make each patient’s visit enjoyable, helping them feel at ease and confident in their dental care.

Outside of work, Sha’myah enjoys reading, going to the movies, writing, and singing.

Together, our team is dedicated to making North Dental a welcoming, family-friendly environment where everyone receives the high-quality care they deserve.
